Coalition Government delivering on election commitments to Wentworth
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, Member for Wentworth has today welcomed the release of the Coalition Government’s Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO) which has recommitted funding for three local election commitments.
The funding for local projects in MYEFO demonstrates the Coalition Government’s commitment to delivering on important community infrastructure projects such as:
$45,000 to redevelop the Bondi Community Services Centre (formerly known as Wayside Chapel Bondi), Norman Andrews House, to improve its client amenities.
$18,000 to purchase equipment for the St Vincent de Paul’s Killara Refuge.
$8,000 to purchase equipment for the St Vincent de Paul’s Dolores Women’s Refuge.
“The Coalition Government invests in local projects because we understand Australia is made of more than big infrastructure projects.
“I’m proud to be delivering these projects for my local community and look forward to seeing the facilities being built and utilised by the community.
“Our commitments are fully costed and funding is on the table. Since the election I have been working directly with proponents to ensure these commitments can be delivered as soon as possible and I am pleased with the progress we are making,” Mr Turnbull said.
